Currie steering brace problem...

I tried to install my steering box brace a couple days ago... but it's not lining up right... i think the hole on the box side of the brace (that the clamp bolts to) is drilled too close to the edge... it's about a 1/4 inch from the end - with it all bolted together -it pushes the clamps down too far or over to the left too far... btw -I made sure the washer on pass side was tapped all the way on -the poder coating was holding it back a little...

anyone have pics of theirs before the install? I'm not sure it would be a good idea to slot the hole...

tia

This is from Rockcrawler... - http://justjeep.rockcrawler.com/steeringbrace.htm

Here's one from a YJ if it helps.

I'm going to hopefully tackle mine this weekend, looks the same (it's rusty's though), so keep us up to date with what you do... Good luck Doug!

Thanks.
I need to see a pic of it before it's installed... without the clamp halves bolted to the brace.

hmmm, not sure exactly what you need, I know it's before, but what state... Here's another site and some pics, maybe one of these pics will help, even though most are installed..
