BTT, I talked to one of their reps y'day - he said that they're going to warranty the teflon finish for 3 years, but I'm not sure if that covers rockrash. He also mentioned that they missed the boat on the 15" market. Confused

This is the Victor - their latest teflon offering to come out this week but again, it's not available in 15". Something I noticed while looking at their display models, there was a lot of teflon overspray. Seems like the display models they'd at least want to look halfway decent.

Yeah, WTF were they thinking not adding 15's to the line? It has got to be more popular than 17's.

Think maybe that 15's are so popular that they wanted to try the new styles out on other sizes, then add 15's later?

I wouldn't necessarily believe this. If you've watched the industry, even remotely, you'll see that there's a growing trend towards bigger and bigger wheels (and also corresponding rim sizes in tires). I really think it's going to get difficult finding wheels in 15" sizes that are even remotely attractive.

I'll agree with you that it seems that people are going to larger size rims, but it's usually only people who have a longer history offroading. As far as FIRST time aftermarket wheel buyers owning a TJ/ YJ/ XJ I would think that an overwhelming majority would be buying 15" rims.

Oh, and we have to realize that we are dealing with American Racing. Off Roading isn't the first priority on their list. They have to make way more money on their chrome $600 and $700 wheels.

Sad, but true. Even most of the stuff that comes in 15" is too blingy for my taste. Why can't someone make a simple, basic, no flash or pomp 15" alloy with about 4~4.5" of backspacing? Simple finish, no need for chrome or polished, satin would be fine as long as it remained affordable. I really liked back when they offered a couple wheels with the "painted silver" finish. Looked great and hid rock rash real good, but they disco'd most of them a long time ago and kept their polished counterparts. Sucks, I tell ya Confused .

No wonder everyone is a sheep with the black steelies....not many other choices out there. I'm sure if a decently backspaced and affordable aluminum was available, it'd sell very well amongst our groups (but the bling market is much larger than us, so here we sit).

Very nice! You wouldn't happen to have a closer up of the tire and wheel would you? I can't make up my mind whether I want the 797 or the old 767s. By the way, I love my TrXus! I've got 10k miles on them, and besides some rock rash, they are doing great.
