Saw this link on JF, this guy did an incredible job with his OBA..

Cause I don't know crap about this setup/OBA, etc. can you still run the AC, or are you sacrificing it for OBA? Gotta love the defroster..

You dump the AC and use the compressor for OBA. I really, really, really need to get my system drained so I can start on mine. Been saying that for like a year now Confused .

MB, yeah, it looks like he's just running an open air filter right off the TB.

Yeah, same here. Very simple process and probably one of my favorite mods I've done to my Jeep because it was very customizable. I went a little more complicated and added a regulator that turns the compressor on when the air pressure is below 60psi and off once it reaches 125psi. I've got a 5gal tank in the back too. eyebrows Laugh

I thought these compressors needed recirculated oil?? Like a closed system loop to keep them lubricated (Which is why there is so much oil added into the freon) It's also why many people swap them out with yorks. I'll have to look this up sometime.

I installed an inline lubricator on the air intake between the air fliter and the compressor which is filtered out by the air/liquid filter right after the compressor. If you don't use the OBA often, you can also just squirt some compressor oil down the air intake before every use. That's what I did until I put in the oiler.

some of them have a plug on the side. Remove the plug.. install zerk fitting...greese....VIOLA! OBA... One note. Theses compressors get kind of hot. I would hard pipe at least 8" or you'll blow a hose every time a couple of buddies wanna air up. I also found that putting a dime in the TPS will amp the idle up to about 2 G's. Faster air up.

Hey Brandy, did you convert your AC over to OBA? I haven't seen your rig out in so long that I've forgot whether you did this or not Mr. Green .
