New Ownership

I've heard many rumors going around about the parks future and the transitions that are taking place. We'd like to take this opportunity to clear one rumor that is circulating.

As many of you have heard, the park has changed ownership. Stephanie, my wife, and I are now the owners of ParagonAdventurePark.

Stephanie and I have been managing the park since the beginning. We are wheelers and we do care about the needs of fellow wheelers. We do have many plans and visions to expand Paragon and you will soon notice some of the changes that we will be making. We feel all of the changes will be for the betterment of the park and your enjoyment while visiting.

The rules and operation of the park will stay mainly the same with just a few minor changes. One of which is the guide policy. We can no longer openly allow anyone to navigate the park without any guide training. One person from every group will now be required to attend a free half hour to hour training course, maximum of once a year, in order to take their group out in the park without a purchased guide.

These courses will be offered every Saturday and Sunday morning and on an as needed basis during the week. The only interference with normally schedules would be that one person should be at the park a half hour to an hour before the rest of their group. Other than that, everyone's schedule should run smoothly. After completing this course, you will receive a card that will enable you to freely take your group or other groups throughout the park. This course is for everyone's safety and will just cover the basic safety and navigation throughout the park. This training course is for everyone, SUV/4x4, ATVs and Motor Bikes.

There will be a few other changes throughout the summer for the betterment of the sport and the park. There will also be a new waiver, so please be patient as everyone will have to sign a new one.

We are looking forward to making Paragon an even better wheeling destination. If you have any comments or would like to see something, please feel free to contact us, we are always ready to listen.

Thank you,
Kyle & Stephanie

so now when planning on going out in a small group you have to make sure one of the members of the group has gone through their course

I'm going to move this to Land Use Issues, sticky it, and link a thread to it in Events.
