Well I like the doorles so much that I decided to go topless..

Here is a pic of it almost finished...

I cut the top off the tailgate and reused it...
I still have to get some angle Iron for the back window to mount to.
And some flat bar to clean up the sides..

Oh put the doors back on.. It got cold tonight..(about 60 brrrrr..) Very Happy

What you think??

Daylight pic to follow...

Thanks JC... Here is another ... Its me welding the caps over the holes while Jeff bolts the spare tire carrier back up on the roof...

That was before I put the doors back on.. BUt I sure like the look..

I also picked up some black paint today. SO The stripes can be finished as soon as I finish the other body work..

I still have to cut more off of the roof.. BUt it got dark..

Reminds me of that XJ that AEV cut apart in a similar manner. Check it out if you've never seen it. Might get some ideas. I've wanted to buy an XJ and hack it apart like that.

The white Frankenokee in the above pics is one heck of a rig! He flipped that beotch right on his side with only one wheel really getting any traction, and still conquered the hill!! All he took on was a cracked taillight ! What a day that was.

Quick note -Our freinds CJ blew the bead on one of his tires about 5 minutes later, and I told him about the lighter fluid trick....well he used ether and ...... yeah he almost burned down the hillside - but the good news is the bead was set, aired up the tire and on we went!! Good times.
