Anybody seen pics of the 2005 Grand Cherokee yet? Obviously kinda hard to see, but it looks longer and I like the rims. Cool

Yup.. .This is the object of great debate on the Grand Cherokee Board..
You can clearly see that its IFS.. Which totally sucks ass.. But thats the way the world is turning... There are another set of spy photos where you can see the front diff.. And some people believe that its the actual vehicle. I think they are just last years pictures...But I will see if I can find some of the pics..
Those are bad ass rims..

Even if it is covered by a tarp its still kinda strange looking. It looks too low to the ground for some reason...

Plus, why in the hell does DaimlerChrysler insist on ruining the Jeep? Always have been solid axle, now they are going to IFS... I guess its because not many people wheel the Grand or Liberty, but still. I'm just waiting for the IFS Wrangler, that'll be the day.

Yeah, those pictures that showed a covered Jeep with the front diff showing were thought to be a special WJ, like the Jeep Journey concept a few years ago. It's strange that they never uncovered that Jeep, and it was taken away. The WK does look a little low to the ground both in the front and in the rear axle, but it might be an illusion being that it's covered in tarp. I wish they'd stay with SFA, the GC is the only SUV and one of the few vehicles out there with a SFA. However, Range Rover is now IFS/IRS and almost everything else out there at least has IFS, so I guess they feel they need to change. I too have a Liberty, and the IFS articulates pretty well for a stock vehicle, but they made the front clearance too low. If they put IFS in the Grand, I wouldn't mind, as long as it has hearty ground clearance of maybe 9"-10" like the Land and Range Rovers do. Just my $0.02.

Those pics at the end of the post don't look that bad....of course it's all irrelevant now since they dumped the solid axle up front. Wait to ya see how pissed I'm gonna be when it happens on the SWB side soapbox .

Yeah, I don't like it...it's too Durago-ish. Plus, there's something about the shape of the back...it reminds me of a Volvo or something... Neutral
