Will you be regearing the 44? If so, put that locker in. You'll save yourself install money in the long run....unless you've got a buddy or are capable of regears yourself. I'm not.

Neither am I, but I don't have to regear it, it's 3.55:1 (same as my existing axles). I'd rather regear and lock both at the same...if I can come up with the money I'll do it...we'll see.

Did the ZJ disk brake conversion on a not to long ago.. Very easy.. Hardest part was getting the bearings off the axles and backing plate/bearing back on... In retrospect we should have had them pressed on instead of doing it myself with a length of pipe.. Mr. Green Mr. Green

When I did it on my ZJ (disk conversion) it only took me about 30 mins..
Mr. Green Didnt need the backing plate..

Good luck and more pics...

Thanks Carl. My understanding is that a little fabrication/redneck engineering is necessary to do the conversion on the XJ D44...at least if I go by this==>Clicky. I might pick yer brain a little when I'm ready to actually do it. Mr. Green
