So I just changed the oil and did the regular tire rotation. My question is, now that my tires have about 50% tread left, I was thinking maybe the change in weight from wear would cause the tires and wheels to become "unbalanced." There are some slight vibes at higher speeds and I'm thinking it might be one or two of the tires out of balance. I haven't lost any weights that I know of so I can rule that out. Thanks.

Yeah, they probably need to be rebalanced. If you've taken chunks out on the trail or spun the tire on the rim while aired down, it won't be balanced anymore. Did I make any sense? Mr. Green

I just had a similar problem with the XJ, some vibrting at higer speeds. I had just changed the rear tire cause someone hit me. I thought they would have balanced them again at that point but i guess not. I went and had the tires rotated and rebalanced and no more vibrations. I'd agre that that's probabaly what it is. good luck. Wink
