I just got back from Shoe Creek with Phantum, and it was awesome!!! It was my first trail ever, and I learned a boatload from Steve on how to handle my rig.

We were going to try Big Levels, but got hit with a closed gate and posted property signs on the attempt. We thought about going to the second new site, but Steve hadn't had the chance to check it out first to see if it was open or not, and since daylight was a-wastin', we headed over to Shoe Creek. Steve was riding in Jen's TJ, and he showed me all the cool stuff he came across in the last trip. Between the two of us, we got quite a few pix to put up.

Sorry Steve!!! I wasn't trying to steal your thunder here, but I still haven't come down from the 4x4 rush!!! Can't wait for the next trail ride, where I'll hopefully get to meet some of the other guys and gals here. I'll get crackin' on those pix for ya'!

Yeh, when I go into a National Forest and find a gate up saying "Private Property...well, I turn into this guy ==> angry

On the plus side, we also found a couple of new playgrounds at Shoe Creek...it never ceases to amaze me that everytime I think I've found all the places to play on that trail system, I find a few more.

Unfortunatly, I couldn't take most of these newly discovered, knarley rides...I had the TJ (Jens Jeep) and:

1) I was told at least 6 times to "Be carefull with my baby"

2) It ain't got no engine, LCA, steering box, or (decent) gas tank skids.

Next time I get up to that trail, I'll be drivin' the XJ...fully armored baby!!!! thumbs

Pics in a few days...

Steve

Ya, steve is not allowed to go with out me again, hehe. Especially taking my baby. Once Steve get's his rig up and running again, we should be going again, can't wait. (some time before camp jeep)
