I picked her up in Pittsburgh May 15th and drove her back from there. Beautiful ride, very quiet. I'm keeping both Jeeps again b/c I don't want to trash this one.

Some comparison shots of where they added the length. 10" between the wheels. Five inches behind the rear wheels.

And some shots underneath. How about the length on that muffler????

Looking good man. Why is the silver one longer than the red one? I don't get it. Finger

Seriously though, a BB and 31's would be sweet.

EDIT: Oh yeah, it looks like you have 2 crossmembers on the TJUL, of is that just a support for the gas tank?

Looks great! How does it handle compared to a standard TJ? Anything noticable? And why's it so clean? Wink

Awesome! Looks like a XJ in a TJ's clothing... Finger

Seriosuly, looks good man. Are ya still planning on doing the 3" coil swap over to it to run 33's? It would look better with some lift. Mr. Green

that's sweet looking erik - glad you finally received it. i agree - some sort of lift would set it off nicely. either a BB and a nice set of 31" AT's or something of the like...just to give it better odds against old man winter. have to admit that i like the looks of the hardtop on it better than the softtops i've been seeing around here. keep us posted Smile

Alright...let's see if I can answer everyone's questions.

First, I have an RE BB in the garage waiting for install. I'm planning on doing it Memorial Day weekend if the weather cooperates. Then I'll slap some 31s on. Anyone local to Allentown wanna help??? It'll likely be Saturday b/c I've got the whole picnic thing to do Sunday. Maybe Monday if Saturday doesn't work. I'll figure it out as it gets closer. I won't be swapping the coils with my other Jeep.

After driving this beast all the way back from Pittsburgh (JeepWarehouse met me with the Jeep at the Pittsburgh Airport), I've gotta say this is the smoothest riding Jeep I've been in. Maybe not as plush as a Grand Cherokee, but pretty damn close. Does this have anything to do with the added wheelbase? Probably. Does is feel much better compared to my lifted 99?? HELL YEAH!!! It's like driving a car.

Handling is great. A little body roll in turns but it's still tight. Braking and acceleration are better than expected. These are some of the reasons I decided to keep it mostly stock and use the 99 for wheeling. With the reconstructed title on the 99, it won't hurt as much should I bump a tree or rub a rock when offroad.

There are 2 crossmembers in the back. The one is the stock crossmember that was previously used to hold up the gas tank in the SWB Wranglers. This is the one closer to the bumper. The added crossmember is the new one added to the Unlimited's to support the gas tank. I guess it was easier to add a crossmember than reengineer the gas tank and gas tank skid.

On the promo Unlimited's that DC used before the production Unlimited's were built, the bolts for the stock tank were still there. Good to see they removed them on the production version and saved a dollar. Smile

Looks good man Smile . I'd love to give ya a hand thowing the BB on, but I'm working all weekend Rolling Eyes . If you end up doing it Monday, I'll check to see if I'm working, but I'm pretty sure they've got me scheduled then as well. Can't wait to see it up a coupla inches and on 31's Mr. Green .

Yeah...the spacer lift went on over Memorial Day weekend. Just haven't gotten any pics yet...weather's been too crappy whenever I've had the chance.
