So I was flushing my radiator, I think I have a leaky lower hose. I twisted and twisted the petcock, drained the radiator and then couldn't get the petcock back in. It ended up coming off in my hand. I'm guessing that I twisted it off.

Is there any other solution ot this other than buying a new radiator? I'm stumped. I'm going to the parts store now to get a new lower hose and I thought that I's ask you guys too.

I'm not sure if it'll be a stealership only part (or if you have an aftermarket radiator then it doesn't matter where you look) but you should be able to get a replacement petcock. It should include both the housing and the drain plug. If the housing is bad, you should be able to remove the old one by gently twisting it with needle nose pliers.

Got a set of easy outs?
To do this sucsessfully and painless you might want to take the whole radiator out and do it on the workbench..then you can see better of whats going on also.. I know I know its a pain in the A$$ but thats what I would do!

Hot a bad deal, anybody else want one? Finger
