I'd try and get the most bang for your buck. If you're not having any probs with the stock manifold, I'd wait til it goes before ya replace it. The spare should be fine where it's at for the time being and unless ya wanna add a winch or have muffed up the front bumper, I'd consider something that would benefit ya immediately (well whenever you get your ass back out in the woods Wink ). Maybe something like a Kilby gas tank skid?

Anybody looked at the Warn gas tank skid? It looks identical to the Kilby skid but about $100 less.

I would hold off on the exhaust and replace as needed.

How much armor you got under it? Go with 'd's suggetion with a Kilby Gas tank skid or do a Skid Row engine skid. How about body rockers or skids?

The Kilby gas tank skid has always been on my list, but may stay on the list for a little while longer untill realy needed. In 03 the stock skids got a bit beefier from DC....it looks like they went with heavier steel than they used too. But the extra clearence would be nice also.

Warn recently came out with a 3/16" skid that also sucks the tank up 1" from stock. I think they are retailing out at @ $150.....Kilby's are @ $225.

Bumpers and carrier would be very cool mod.

I got a quote from Bob Supplee for $156 shipped. Sounds almost identical. 3/16" steel, raises the tank 1". I just wish it had the depression for the fuel sending unit. I've been eyeing up the IMC Fab skid (there's a review/writeup on JU in the TJ forum) that runs for $185 last I heard. But the Warn is definitely an option now...especially at that price and the way it's built.

Im concidering this

Quote:
With thick 3/16" steel between your gas tank and the rough terrain your Jeep can conquer all. The Warn Fuel Tank Skid Plate not only adds an extra inch of clearance over a stock setup, it bolts right onto the body using factory attachment points. Drain holes help keep the tank free of debris and the black powdercoat finish fights off rust

The only place Ive seen it was Central 4WD

I saw that Quadratec also has it for 50 cents more. Better snap one up before the copyright lawsuit is filed.
