It's been the bain of my existence for the last few weeks...but it's starting to come together. I'm waiting for the truss from Dan, then I can route all my brakelines and finally get this thing in.

They'll be a couple of writeups on this as the axleshafts (including bearing and seals, of course) were replaced and a disc brake conversion was done. Plus there's the truss still to come as well as the skid plate...but here's a few pics to tide y'all over....

So far this thing has cost just under $1100...that includes the initial purchase of the axle, all the brake upgrades (including new rotors, rebuilt calipers and all the braided lines and stuff), the new Superior axle shafts, the Warn diff skid, all machining I had to have done as well as misc. bolts and hardware. I did not regear it or install a locker...I'll do that in conjunction with my next lift.

The only thing not included in that cost is the truss (waiting on Dan) and the new u-bolts (which will be around $25-$30 or so). I still need to finalize hooking up the e-brake cable, but that will be after it's bolted in the junk.

oh yeah...the price also does not include yelling and cursing at it, nor wanting to either burn it to the ground or blow it into tiny, little itty-bitty pieces during the process of assembly. Mr. Green

Rock On!

Steve

bowdown "YOU SUCK, DAMMIT!!!!!" bowdown

Now you KNOW that after seeing those pix I'm gonna get it in my head to want one. Jeez, and not more than a day after putting on a 3" lift. I can't wait to see how the Dana acts when we get it offroad at Rapidan.
