Looking at Kevin's conversion he sells.
Is the frame mount the same as stock, but with that lower channel welded on to it?

Yes he made it, yes it is a stock bracket with the lower portion welded on. i would just go with the RE1660 bar and bracket myself. Cheaper also, and way beefy.

I plan on making my track bar adjustable. Really want to make the mount vertical rather than horizontal like stock (no idea why they designed it that way.)
I saw Kevin had a deal if you sent your old bracket back to him, so I wasn't sure if they just welded that bit to it and sold it again. The RE mount looks simple and wicked easy to fab up.

With using a heim joint in the top of the bar, should I also put in some of those misalignment spacers?

If you are going to use the RE bracket just use the RE 1660 HD bar. Forget the heim.

Sounds great... I made my own adjustable track bar and Have had no probs yet..

Unless you count breaking the grade 8 bolt that holds it on twice... But I think that problem stems from the loose nut behind the wheel.. Mr. Green
