I drive out on glades trails mostly... somtimes in wet season those trails look a little more like rivers but they arent deep .. see pic - thats about the extent of my "wheeling" if u can all it that. Probabaly not.. lol

If you run across any baby alligators, grab me one! I look on the sides of the roads every time we go down there.

IT really depends on what season it is. Out where I live I get it all and I love it all. Sure mud gets into everything and it takes a bit to wash off but rock break more parts then mud does. The warden/wife likes me plating in the sand becouse I don't break mch there but wants a mud rig of her own... isn't that sweet?? _________________ www.4x4trailhunters.com |

I Jeep all the time since I can, out my front door to Jeep here in western Montana. But I also go to Mexico, across the Sonora Desert and the Coronado Desert and rock crawl through the Diablo Roo (Devils Breath) at the end of the Sonora on my way down to the Yucatan. I do love it all.
The more extreme the better.
Here is some photos of my most recent last Sunday:
Pilots Knob, near Glacier National Park
Again on the Pilot Knob region of NW Montana, last Sunday, 4-17-2005
Crossing Camas Creek in spring run off last Sunday on the border of Glacier National Park. Without the narrow tires and chains, ARBs front and rear, this could not have been crossed.

Mud takes to long to clean off. I stick to the rocks.
Mud is for the full size trucks with 12" of lift and 4 chrome shocks on each corner. They usually leave it on for a couple of weeks so that everyone knows they get it dirty. _________________ DesertYJ

Very cool..
I am not trying to be an ass but why do you think narrow tires are better for crossing here????
I am running 12.5's (thats narrow for mud.. ) And I find myself sinking in stuff that other guys tread over.. Pretty much the same on sand...
Just wondering what your opinion of this is ...
Again.. I am not dogging you .. I have seen several of your post on other forums along with the ones you have here and I noticed that you where not recieved well on other forums.. I am hoping you will feel more comfortable here and spread some of your knowledge..
You seem to have a very capable Jeep and I love the pics of you winching out that cement truck..
I myself have recovered a Semi truck that drove over a curb in a flood and got stuck.. IT is pretty cool to be the only person with enough gonads to attempt something like that...
He was on this road... Just past that car...
Here is a picture of me with my strap on him...
Notice.. I am on the road.. He is not...the ground is pretty soft under him because that was at the height of huricane season and it rains alot then..
I have a picture of him out of the ditch and back on the road but It was very dark by the time I finally got him out and you cant really see anything..
I used 3 30' 30,000# straps I wrapped tape around them every 5 feet to keep them from sagging and seperating .. I had to get my tires pretty hot to get traction.. Something I dont have to tell you is very hard to do when you are in 18" of water..
Anyway... You have a great site ...And if I havent already said.. Welcome to the forum...
Carl
Edit... If my pics show up as red X's just right click and select View image.. That should work.. _________________ BONE STOCK
