this mornig i left for work and about 5 mins into my drive my jeep started to sputter when i was on the gas it wouldn't go anywhere and then it would kick in then go out it would do this intermittently...after about 5 mins it stopped and was fine...i came home check the dist. cap to see if it was cracked and maybe moisture got in there....my guess is it's a fuel pump....anyone have any ideas?...also when i pushed the clutch in the rpms would dip below idle and then bounce back up.....any help is appreciated!

Have you checked the fuel filter?

Dunno if you got it fixed or not, but I had a similar prob with my '97 (2.5l if it makes a difference). Turned out to be a bad O2 sensor. Might wanna see if you can pull an error code to confer Smile .

My 98 does that every so often. For me it's usually one or two sputters. I found out it was the crank sensor.

All in all it's pretty stock.
