Just trying to diagnose brother-in-law's 95 XJ.
Driver's side floor mat getting wet. Thinking it's plugged A/C drain. Where did they put it? Under the floor, requiring a hole to be cut like a ZJ?

I had the same problem. What I did was blow out the evaporator hose with an air compressor. The hose opening is located under the charcoal canister. Fairly easy to access from underneath vehicle at right front tire. Work the hose into the opening and just blast away.

This fixed it and it still drains fine.

Haynes probably won't show it. It might show you the charcoal canister location though. Then you can just re-route the line from there. I'll look it up in my FSM in the morning...I can't remember if it had a picture or not.

Rock On!

i'm having the same problem on mine too. just finally got the a/c working on the new xj - and now the carpet on the passenger side is making the jeep smell like arse! i'm gonna look for that tube to blow out from underneath. should i assume that the setup is similar to my tj's? i had to add a 90* elbow and a 6" length of tube to the outside drain from the heater-a/c box to allow the water to drain under the jeep while driving. i'm sure it'll be easy to figure out...but i haven't been under the xj in a bit (lots of rain)
thanks,
chris
