Does anyone know what the arrow pointing up on the dash is for and what i should do with it

Shift indicator would be my best guess. If you don't have a manual tranny, then I've got no idea.

Yeah, that's right, it's just the shift indicator. Tells you the optimum shift points to save gas and reduce wear on the engine. I don't pay attention to it though. Wink

The arrow on my Cherokee and YJ drove me nuts. I took the dash apart in both and put black electrical tape over the lamp window. If you can ignore it do so, it's easier.

Shift lights are pointless if you really think about it. I took the bulb out in my 93 S10. I notice in my Fiero that it tells you to shift at times that you really cannot, or don't want to shift. You should be able to just pull the bulb out of the cluster without any problems.
