Here's the skinny: you have a Dana 35 non c-clip with 27 spline, 1.18" diameter shafts, a 7.58" ring gear and a 2.62" diameter axle tube

The Dana 44 is also non c-clip - but it has 30 spline, 1.31" diameter shafts, a 8.5" ring gear, and a 2.75" diameter axle tube.

More splines, thicker shafts and a stronger tube. Snag it! thumbs

edit - the only catch is, you will need a new driveshaft...either the D44 pinion is longer than the D35 or vice versa (I forget which). Either way, you existing driveshaft will not fit, so you'll have to have a new one spun. Otherwise it's a direct swap.

The 44 requires a shorter Driveshaft than a 35.

Yea, I could not remember which it was...my own swap was with a 8.25 and the driveshaft length was fine. Either way he'll need a new one. Wink
