You know when you add bigger tires and you have a lot of extra play in the steering wheel. How do you correct that? Can a front adj. track bar do the job or do you need to replace a lot more. Can't remember what will solve this problem.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this problem?

Is it loose? You're not having death wobble are you? Off the top of my head, did you get it aligned and are all the tires at the right pressure? Have you checked the bearings and ball joints that nothing is worn? Your track bar and drag link should be as close to parallel as possible.

sometimes as people build up their jeeps they have episodes of death wobble from time to time. they'll solve it, get past it, and then continue to build more. but the steering link still suffers the most. i've had death wobble at two points in the build up of my jeep - both times i corrected the problems after a time and everything was all right. but now that i'm on 37"s every little bit of "slop" in the steering tends to be amplified. there is a slight bit of play in the rag joint now that wasn't there when the jeep was new. i'm sure the jeep was never intended to have that steering link turning 37"s...nor was it intended to counteract death wobble. at some point i'm going to have to call flaming river or borgeson and get a replacement - but just not yet Smile end of story = maybe there's some play in your upper or lower steering link's joints? easy to check...have some slightly wiggle your steering wheel left to right while you place your hand over the joints - you'll feel the play in them if worn. good luck!

It's not death wobble although I do need to get them balanced again, but this is something that it has always had. I'll try to get them balanced this weekend or next week. Black Keith, got a link to Rusty's steering?
