I am hoping to receive the new TR front bumper early next week and put it on.

I also need to find out what the popping is in the front. I figure it is a ball joint since it usually when I hit a driveway or turning and braking.

I need a longer Pitman arm since it rubs on the Track bar when turning right.

Many things in the works for my '95 ZJ.
1. Swap out NP249 for NP242
2. 2" BB, bumpstop exts, and Rancho RS5000 shocks
3. 15x8 steelies with 31" A/Ts

Right now it is hurry up at wait.
The wheels are on B/O the shocks will be here next week. Not got the tires yet.
Have to convert the NP242 to work in my ZJ. It is out of a '99 WJ.
Today I scored the entire console out of a wrecked '96 ZJ. It is pristine and it has the Select-Trac bezel I was after.

After all that I'm seriously thinking about a Aussie Locker for the rear.

Also have a Jacobs Mileage Master kit to install. But there is no place to mount it so I am going to ditch the air box and go with a K&N conical filter to make some room to mount it.
This ZJ is my work vehicle also so I can't get to radical. 31" tires shouldn't harm my gas milage too bad. I'm getting 18 MPG now, and after I swap to 2WD highway running it should be alittle better.
The Jacobs system should help alittle to.

please just buy a tj and stop cutting that thing up. Very Happy You could try and make it fit wrangler half doors and weld in the rest of the ZJ door Finger

OK, I'll play...even though I ain't got no Grand Cherokee...ban me. Finger

rofl

The XJ is coming off the road for the winter. Plans include, but are not limited to:

1) Install Four Real front bumper and Warn winch
2) Home brew the rear leafs to get 4+ inches of lift and install coils to match
3) Bumpstop plates in the rear to tune the rear suspension correctly
4) T-case drop (SYE will come after I achieve what I'm calling the final lift height of 6"-8"...yea right)
4) Cooling upgrades including, 3 row radiator, manual bypass for the aux fan and possibly a high flow water pump
5) Power upgrades including an HO alternator and a possible dual battery setup
6) Aux lighting, at the least on the new bumper
7) Steering upgrades, at least a ZJ pitman arm...possibly upgrades to other components as well

It's ambitious for what will amount to 3 or 4 months work. Especially considering that I also have plans to install a 6 speed (if I can get my hands on one) and new carb in the Camaro and all kinds of projects planned around the house, including completley gutting a bathroom...so we'll see if I can get it all done.

Sounds like you are going to have your hands full in the months to come!!
I was thinking, you could install a 160 degree thermostat-al-aktic in the beotch to keep er' iced down. Especially since a new radiator is going in.
Have fun and post pics !!!
Make sure to take them with good lighting (Eh-Hum...KTJ???)

The problem with doing that is that the damn ECM will run the thing rich until it gets up to around 180. Right now it runs right around 210, which is fine...but when wheeling in the summer heat (or caught in traffic) it tends to float up right around 218 - 220. I wanna get that down. I figure a 3 row rad, and a manual bypass on the aux fan should keep 'er cool. I'm also thinking that while I'm all up in there I should replace the water pump too...and if I'm gonna do that I might as well upgrade. I'll prolly do a aux tranny cooler too come to think of it....

Believe me...there will be writeups for each project. Wink
