The shocks I am running right now are really stiff. They are barable for around town but off road I am bopped around like a ballerina in a mosh pit. Basicly, I hate my shocks. I am looking for something that has a little more coooooosh to it. They need to have plenty of travel, and possibly even adjustible. Does anyone have any subjections or preferrences? newbie

What kind/brand of lift is in it? Keep in mind that it might not be just the shocks. The springs themselves might be too stiff for the type of offroad driving you do.

OME makes great shocks. We run them in the TJ. The XJ has Rancho 5000's. A lot of people bash them, but they are not bad in an XJ. A step up would be Rancho RSX's or 9000's.

I have Pro Comp explorer ES 3000. I have been worned against Rancho's. The guy I bought my Jeep from hated them with a pasion. But, I will check them out. What do you know about the Skyjacker Softride Hydro Shocks? I met a guy how was running them under his Bronco and swor by them.

There's at least one guy on here that I wheel with who runs the Skyjackers. He has no complaints about them.

If you want a good ride on and off road go OME, it's an awesome shock.
