Check the serpentine belt as well as the cooling system hoses. Check the tire pressures, including the spare (the towing package should have a full size). Also, give the brakes a once over...especialy since you are towing.

thank's.

On the tires, I was planning getting a new set a BFG, the spare tire is also programed for up grade to full size, but it never cross my mind on the serpetine, I'll replace it and take a spare, It's close to impossible getting spare part's for this jeep down there (or any other car, specialy newer models), it's the middle of the desert for most of the trip.

Should I do the tranny fluid, It's been about 8 k miles since I put fresh stuff and replace the filter. not to much towing, but some light off roading. but more questionable, It's been a while for the transfer and diferentials lubes, should it go to?
One more...
please I'm new on this stuff, and from what I have read I don't now nottin'g on the "taking care of my jeep" bussines, compare to the amount of stuff that's here. like i said on a previus note just gurus on the subjects here, But I'm learning. A LOT!!!
the Q on hand is:
the bad and good on the sintech oils.
There's a lot of stuff out there and I don't know what to think, will it be bad for my engine to do the swap, I have always used castrol brand, and never had any issues. Does this help the engine achive more milage, after all I do have 200K plus change on it.
So any and all opinions will be greatfully apreciatted.

thanks.
Rick
want to hit the 300K!!!

I would change all those fluids.

Synthetic vs. Conventional...here we go again! Rolling Eyes There's a lot of differing opinions on this. Personally, I use synthetics in my diffs, t-case, tranny and then conventional in the engine. I'm sure there will be LOTS of opinions posted on this... Mr. Green
