ok, first off my car usually has a mind of its own and does freaky things, but i can usually fix them. my rear driver window doesnt want to go up after i lowered it 2 days ago, this has happened before in the summer as well. it will go further down, but not up. and i especially dont like this cause it is 6 degrees F right now. neither buttons to push it up will work, what could this be? i am stumped, i tried warming it up for a bit and that didnt work. i also park in a garage. i tried fooling around with it, to see if it was off track, but doesnt seem to be so? thanks for you help inadvance...

Take the door skin off and make sure its on track and if it is you will need a new motor.. Its pretty common problem..
But before you buy a motor check to make sure you have power at the motor.. WIres breaking in drivers door is also a common problem with grands.. Just pull back the boot in the drivers door jamb and check for broken wires..

Good luck..Let us know what you find..

ok, its not off track and it still roles down more, not up. i looked in the door jam and a yellow/grey stripe wire is mangled that eventually connects to the rear passenger window.....things are looking up slightly at least..

Are you sure there are no other broken wires??

I dont really know why it would go down and not up.. Thats odd.. Mitght want to try to jump the motor with a hot wire to get the window up.. THen you can have the rest of the winter to figure it out..

If it goes up and wont stay up.. THen the motor is bad..
