I've never liked the cheesy W that Warn cuts into everything they make. Also, I know how their TJ bumpers are designed and I don't like them...especially the rear bumper/tire carrier.

I'm really liking the Four real bumper like Steve's! The wife too. I've been told by some one not to get it though. Something about a law in VA that nothing can cover/obstruct/interfer with the lights?? He had gotten a ticket because of the side bars interfering with the lights?? Full of S#%T redneck?? rofl

It makes sense. I think there's a similar law on the books in PA and most other states. You can't have objects blocking the lights for safety reasons.

Seeing we're on the subject of laws in VA in the other post, I'll look for that one too. I've been having good luck finding them. Be back soon with what VA State code says about it.

I like Steve's regardless.

You can always cut off the outside supports and if you feel you need them .. Move them to the inside...

They are bent and dont look like they will provide much structural strength..

They would be better on the inside as gussets anyway..

Just a thought... But that would eliminate the light interference..

Couldn't find anything on the light law, only that it needs to be seen without obstruction for 500 ft. Something like that. It didn't specify having something in front of it, but that's close enough.

This one looks kinda cool.. Not sure If I would spend $600

Have you looked at Protofab...

This ones a little cheaper and a hell of a lot cooler... Mr. Green

http://www.protofab4x4.com/prod0190.htm

I wanted one of these for my grand .. But alas I am to cheap. So I built my own Mr. Green

Look at this one for the TJ.. That would look cool..

Or how bout this one...
http://www.rockcrawler.com/techreports/bulletproof_xj/index.asp

Or how about this one... They have a winch bumper and you can add a single hoop Prerunner for $60

Its still barely over $400
[http://www.jcroffroad.com/XJfrontbumpers.htm

and this one...

Alright ... Thats enough.. Mr. Green
