Good choice on the year too...anything 91-96 is an excellent choice.

*sniff* It's gonna grow up so fast. Let's hear those plans! Wink

yeah - seems like a sound decision so far. picked it up for just over $500 too! not alot for plans though. getting a new windshield today, maybe some used tires from a local jeeper tomorrow...but mainly daily driver duty for now. we both want to keep the miles down on out jeeps...and with our days off overlapping we can take turns driving the xj to work. i'm just still amazed that it has a 5 speed - first one i've seen like that Smile

I'm sure swampy would love to help you cut on it if you wanted to make it a convertible XJ....

Good catch on the deal - $500 ain't bad at all!!
I want one like that thats right hand drive......cool.

Vic needs to see this thread. It's got the 4.0L HO with the 5-speed tranny.

Needs to get about as high as its sibling next to it, tho'. rofl

Lots of potential there.

nope - bought it off of a guy who lived in baltimore. i passed him on route 1 in delaware heading north - saw his price in the window and wrote down his number to call later that night. he was driving it from baltimore to smyrna everyday to work on the new pier. Shocked

so far i put a new windshield in it to pass inspections (it did after that with flying colors!), shampooed most of the interior, and yesterday i hit up the parts stores for tuneup stuff. new battery, rear shocks, oil, filters, wipers, plugs/wires, etc. hopefully i'll be grabbing some OEM 215/75r15 tires tomorrow from a buddy - no need to get aggressive on the daily driver since we both have our bigger jeeps for the fun stuff. it sure is nice to get double digits gas mileage!!! Very Happy

Chris, if you need front shocks, I have a pair that are fairly new. They were included in the HP30 I bought awhile back.
