that's pretty cool! I wouldn't want to sit in the "back seat" though.

Can't wait till it hits the showroom I just hope they don't price me out. I think it would make great truck for my main hobby Surf Fishing. The turbo diesel
puts out alot of low end torque 295 ft lbs. That would be a plus in my book.
The right big tires and I'd be in business. Jeep needs a pickup in the show
room bad.
See YA!

I don't understand the 4-link front and 5-link rear suspensions, but the coilovers are cool! Wonder why there isn't an auto tranny option?

I like the idea of a good offroad capable Jeep P/U truck. But even if they put that into production, what ends up in the showroom is just a milktoast wimped out version of the concept vehicle anyway.

My next Jeep will probably be a new Ford Mustang GT.

From the Detroit News:
Quote:
In a speech Monday night at the 2005 Automotive News World Congress in Dearborn, Chrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche confirmed for the first time the number of new vehicles the Auburn Hills automaker will introduce in 2005 as it tries to claim a bigger chunk of U.S. car and truck sales for a second year.

"In 2005, we'll bring the new Dodge Charger, Jeep Commander and at least three more vehicles to the market," Zetsche said.

Zetsche said Chrysler also is considering whether it will build production versions of the Chrysler Firepower sports car and Jeep Gladiator pickup concepts. The company will decide within a year. If Chrysler launches five major vehicles this year, that will leave 11 launches in 2006.

"In 2006, we'll aim to break the record for new vehicle launches we set last year," Zetsche said. "And our product pipeline beyond 2006 will also be full. We're not going to let up."

Nope, nothing new. It'll probably be a few years before they announce a watered down version of it. Wink

Jeep Gladiator concept vehicle

...and it's just that. It will not be going into production anytime soon. We might see something that resembles it in a few years, but I'm not holding my breath. Wink
