I'm looking at getting a second car, i looked at a 96 neon, 2dr, 5spd, fresh paint, pretty clean looking car, 142,000kms, as is for $1200, says it needs a clutch.

or,

94 Intrepid, 3.4L 24valve, 206,000kms, 4dr, air, pwr window, locks and mirrors, cruise, etc... some rust on the front of the hood and the bottom of the doors. oh and the smell of something I couldn't put my finger on.
Etest and cert, $4500.

the only things I know about these two are that the neons had head gasket problems and the Intrepids had a recall, something to do with a gas leak I think.

thoughts and opinions would be great. I am leaning towards the neon. because i can get around the safty and test.. if need be.

neons seem to be good cars for some reason i've dated a few girls that drive them, both started out really nice, one taken care of and the other not. The one taken care of continued to be a really nice car. the one that wassn't never had the oil changed (like 20 or 30k miles), was curbed more times than i can count, and in about 47 fender benders. i was surprised it lasted her about 3 years and still drove ok when she traded it (i never said girls were bad drivers.....) rofl rofl

get the neon

I missed something in that as well...

but, my brother drives a neon with on major problems. thats why i was considering it.

I'm not a big fan of the 'new dodge' as well. but i have to do something, my jeep is pissing me off to the point where i could do some damage. and i really don't want to do that.. even if i grab the neon, drive it for a year, 6 months.. whatever, just so i can get my jeep fixed or decide to dump it.

thanks guys. detox
