You have enough power there, what size lift is on it? Is it a body lift or suspension lift? Or is it both?

33's will fit on TJ's fine with the right amount of lift.

I've got 33's on mine currently - going to 34's when I get off my butt and get them mounted. You won't be winning any races, but it's a jeep... Wink

it does not have a lift on it now but i have heard and think that a 1 inch body and a 2 inch spacer and shocks is one of the best ways of fitting that size tire

Well, yeah you can fit that size tire on it but... what are you going to be using it for?

3" is the general rule for 33's on a TJ. 2" spacers and a 1"BL work but it's not necessarily the best way to do it. It's just the best way to do it on a budget. If you plan to offroad it, you'll eventually want to look into 3" or 4" lift coils.

You might want to also do a motor mount lift to raise the engine with the body as well as to help straighten out the driveline angles.
