I have a 2005 tj and need the wiring diagram. reason being i am installing a rear view miror that has lamps, digital compass and outside temperature. and in stead of guessing a wiring diagram for the dash wires. i thought of using the cigarette lighter for the power as it shuts off when the jeep is turned off. but i am not sure if it has constant power running to it also. so any help would be great.

Is this a stock mirror? The harness for the mirror is already under the top panel of the dash.

In the 99 TJ the socket only gets power when the key is in the acc. or on position. I see no reason for Chrysler to change this. The best way to test this is to plug some kind of acc into the outlet, then see whether or not it shuts off with the different key positions.

There are 2 12V outlets in the 2033+ Wranglers. One of hot all the time. The other is hot only when the ignition is on.
