I have a 93' YJ without ABS brakes. I always thought I had a Dana 35 rear axle. But then I also heard I could have a Chrysler 8.25" rear. Does anyone know what it is?

Unless they were trying to use up parts or it's been swapped, it should be a Dana 35c, especially with the I-4 engine.

I don't believe DC used 8.25s in YJs. They look fairly similar if I remember correctly so they would be easy to confuse.

The 8.25's came in Cherokees and others. It did not come in YJs. It is possible that one was ordered that way or a previous owner changed it out. If it is the stock axle it should have a tag on the cover that will tell you what it is and what gears it has in it. You can also tell buy the bolt pattern.
