Here is the low down. I have a 93 Grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2L V8 with 4 speed auto. The tranny has over 230K on it and it's been having problems shifting from 1st to 2nd. The engine will rev between 3,000 and 3,500 before it shifts into 2nd. I hope, I'm not looking at having to rebuld the tranny Sad Any ideas?

They are very expensive to rebuild.. I destroyed mine this weekend and I am going t oput a Torqueflite 727 in mine..

If you want to get it rebuilt almost any tranny shop can do it.. But make sure you get them to add a shift kit to it as well.... It will make the tranny last much longer...

Good luck..

Do you think the tranny is just slipping or do you think it could be worse problems than that?
