I am looking at buying either the Jeep Cherokee 2.8L CRD Limited (5-speed Auto) or the Honda CR-V RVSi Auto next weekend, so far my head is on the Honda......please give me some advice, my reason for buying a new SUv is purely, I need more space for a growing family and then the Auto for eas of drive to work and back.....

Any thoughts will be appreciated!!! Rolling Eyes Confused Confused Confused

I don't care for Liberty's (or the current Cherokee model where you're from) but I would certainly buy a Jeep long before a Honda cute-ute.

You also realize you're going to get a biased response here since it's a Jeep forum???

If you were to ask me for directions to the Honda dealer, you would need a Jeep to follow them. Very Happy

Assuming you are talking about the Liberty (in U.S. terms anyway), I have driven the CRD and a comperable (and I use that term lightly) Honda. I would pick the Jeep hands down for many reasons. 1st, my blood type is JP+. When I need a transfusion, I head to camp where we keep it in the refridgerator, just above freezing, in 12oz containers. 2nd, if I showed up at our Jeep camp w/ a Honda, I would get laughed right back off the hill rofl . But not until everybody got to have their way with it. And finally, if it's not trail rated, it is destined to be a trail marker.

So, if my one-sided and opinionated response is worth anything to you, you'ld be a whole lot cooler Cool if you had the Jeep. Even if you never take it off road, at least you'll know you can!

Oh... Now that I know .. Without a doubt the Liberty is better...

Honda CRV is a poop box.. The guy I used to work with had one and I drove it around the construction site a few times and got it stuck every time I drove it .. Then pulled it out with my Grand.. The last time I drove it I wasnt trying to get stuck.. (Like I was all the other times.. Very Happy ) Becasue I was in my Neon.. But the damn thing got stuck anyway.. Imagine his embarassment when I drove out there with my Neon and pulled him out... Mr. Green
And to add insult to injury I didnt have a strap and I pulled him out with an extension cord.. rofl rofl

I dont personally like Liberties either but if you look around the KJ forum they seem to be at least a little trail worthy.. I doubt that they could follow me down a trail but I would enjoy watching them try... Mr. Green
