I have a '94 ZJ with rear drum brakes and I am swapping in an axle from a '98 with dics brakes. Is there anything I need to know before doing this conversion?

Nothing really except the ABS might not work since its from a different year and the computer may not recognize it... Hell I dont know ...It may just work...

IF the abs light comes on you can pull the fuse and relay from under the hood..

It's been sometime but swap was straightforward. Found the '98 axel on Ebay for $350 shipped from Vermont to Colorado. Thought that was pretty good considering I couldn't find one here for less than $550. Coming from the coast it had the usual rust but nothing major, did have to turn the rotors. Swamp Boy was right, the '94 computer didn't recognize the '98 ABS, but I'll take that trade for rear discs. Also installed a budget boost from Rubicon Express and 31x10.50 tires with no adverse effects.
