Hello all!

I need some help. For the life of me I cannot change this belt. I can see the tensioner pully but I cant get it to loosen. Is there a trick to this thing or what. HELP!!!!!!!

I thought it would be so easy. Loosen the rod and by rights it should loosen the pully. But it must be seized up or something because it woun't loosen for me. Do you have to loosen the bolt going through the pully?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

owned by the pully bolt.

Yes, you need to loosen the bolt through the pully in order to adjust the tension.

If you have tried to turn the rod in both directions, because you were unsure, make sure you check that you haven't bent the adjustment rod. I have seen it before were somebody forgot to loosen the pulley bolt first and just turned away on the adjustment rod.
