Hi, my GC is a 93 Laredo, 4.0 L. I'm having a serious problem with the temperature. When I get stuck at traffic, with the A/C on, the temperature rise very fast. But as soon as you star to move or you turn off the A/C, all return to the normal values. The water pump is new, also the radiator, Can anybody give a hint of what is going wrong with my car???? I appreciate your help. Thanks Very Much

Also might want to check the lower radiator hose.. If its soft or looks swollen in any place on it ..Change it...

IF you havent already change the thermostat and the temperature sensor..

They are both cheap and it could be as little as a bad gauge..

But I am with Jeep and beerman.. Probobly the fan..

Let it sit and idle in your drive way... When the engine reaches temperature the fan should speed up..

(Actually it should be locked up when you first start it til the engine warms up..)

Just changed my fan clutch last week because i was having the same problem. The old clutch seemed fine at first but if I kept spinning it by hand it would start freewheeling with no resistance. Needless to say the new one took care of the running hot problem.
