My buddy told me about these clampls the conect to the door hinges so the interior lights don't stay on if the doors are off. If there is such a thing where can I get some?

I recommend option 2 from above rather than those springs. Then again, you also have option 3, just pull the fuse.

Yup. It's described in your manual.

I like the switch idea, although I'm just gonna make it up myself, I'm not gonna spend $25 on something that I can throw together from things that are already in my toolbox. I miss my YJ though, I used to just pull the carpet back and pull the wire off of the switch.

I just pulled the fuse in mine. No worries. It's been that way now since I've owned it. I don't even bother putting the fuse back in with the hard doors on. And the cost was zip...zero...nada
Very Happy

Tonight I rigged up a switch for the dome lights like the one from quadratec. But, I mounted my switch in the glove box. So you just open up the glovebox and flip the switch. Tomorrow in the daylight I'll take a pic and post it.

Okay, heres my solution to the domelight problem. As I said in the post above, I mounted the switch in the glove box, and it all cost me only $2 for the inline fuse holder, I had everything else already in my toolbox.

I took my Dremel with a triangle shaped grinding stone and "drilled" a hole for the switch, then ran enough wire for the glovebox door to open.
I also got bored when I was done so I threw my B&M T-handle on there so here's a picture of it too.

Let me know if the pictures work or not, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. If they don't they're in the album with all the other pictures of my Jeep.
