i found some driving lights at summit for ten bucks on sale my reason to purchase was for the wiring switches relays everything then i saw the lights and they could fit either a) where my fog lights were at the bottom of the radiator support or b)on the roof rack

my question is can these 55w lights(but they have reflective stuff so it looks like an 85w) be used as fog lights or roof lights?

shouldnt be a problem either way. I suppose thats concidering that there only on for offroading. On the street at night you may have some problem having them on at night on the roof. Most states thats a no-no.

Take a look at this page - it describes the different light beams and their best placement.
