should I change the oil pressure sending unit or remove the oil pump and clean the screen?

I would put a mechanical gauge on it and see if it really is loosing pressure first. I would also not drive it until you fuigure this out. If it really is loosing pressure then the outcome will be very expensive.

how much is yours dropping. Funny you mention this because I just noticed mine doing the same thing coming back from the fireworks. Mine is usually holding strong at about 45-50 and i noticed today that at stops it would drop to about 30..... Confused

i recently fixed the oil pressure dropping problem. it was the oil pressure sending unit. its easy to change. you need a 1 1/16" deep socket to remove it. It is located right above the oil filter. part costs about 35 dollars.
