Hey guys how do you change the serpentine belt on a 2001 cherokee? Thanks for help!

First you loosen the belt on the idler pulley under the power steering pump. Then just loosen the tension bolt (between the water pump and the ps pump) untill the belt is loose enough to come off.

It's a real easy job. Get a Goodyear Gatorback belt from Autozone for about $25. They are real quiet. Theres a diagram on the back of the cardboard the belt comes in, in case you forget how it goes back on.

There should also be a sticker under the hood that tells you the belt routing...well...at least there is on mine. Wink
