Hi, nice forum, I happy found this site..!

A few days ago I bought a Cherokee 1976 with a 360 V8 enginee.

I read in other websites that the car has a rear and from DANA 44, thatīs true?? Rolling Eyes

And with those diferentials what is the biggest tires i can use?? 35 inches? 38??

I really dont know.. thanks a lot for your help Mr. Green Smile

Welcome. Technically what you've got there is a Wagoneer. The Jeep Cherokee that was built from 1974-1983 was a model SJ. The 1984-2001 models are designated XJ. Wink

It's possible that it has 44's front and rear. If it does, you could get 35's or even 38's on them. I would do some upgrades to beef up those axles first though.

Yep, if they're the stock axles, they should both be Dana 44's.

Well, it's not a car, but that engine was rated at 195 HP@ 4400 RPM 295 ft/lbs torque @ 2900 RPM - not a rocket sled, but it'll work. You'll probably have to do some trimming to get tires that big to fit as well as regear the axles to regain your acceleration. Try searching around on the web for some photos. Wink
