How do I reduce the "bumpiness" in my jeep?

( short of buying another vehicle I mean! )

I personaly love it, but my GF complains its too much on long trips, it feels like if I run over an ant hill I will feel each and ever single ant I run over ( not that I try to run over innocent insects )

I know my bushings all need to be replaced since my jeep is a 98 and I am pretty sure they are still stock and originals ( and chewed up and half gone for that matter)

Will new bushings help?

I plan on lifting my jeep just a little, will this help also in reducing how much it bumps around? was thinking of OME 2.5 lift or is there a better alternative?

What do sway bar disconnects do ?

What do adjustable control arms do ?

again thanks in advance !

Your shocks could be worn out. The bushings could be worn like you mentioned.

You need to keep in mind this is a short wheelbase vehicle and it will be more bumpy than other vehicles due to the wheelbase.

Old Man Emu shocks and coils are highly regarded as providing a smooth ride. If you're looking to lift it a bit, I would highly recommend them. Also, look into getting some OE control arms (rather than replacing the bushings in your arms). It'll be easier to just swap the arms for new ones than it will to replace the bushings in your arms.
