My Gf has two little girls 3 y/o and a 5 y/o and shes worried that my jeep isnt safe for them

I have yet a few more questions for my dd tj98

1) I really want to lift it a little bit, was thinking maybe 2.5 OME lift, is this still with in "safe" limits for my jeep ( I have read that lifting your jeep too much makes it top heavy, and a little more unstable)
I have 31'' wheels on it right now with the stock 15" rims

2) in the case of an accident is the jeep any less safe then other same size vehicles? ( I at least hope its stronger then those soda can aluminem economy cars like the Kia and echo)

3) Trail armor, Does the durasteel corner armor they sell for the back rear corners add any sort of additional protection or thats just for looks?
I like the way they look, just not sure if its worth buying the steel ones when the plastic ones look the same.

I am a decent driver, I dont speed, obey most trafic laws Smile and I swear I didnt see that dog and yes I use car seats. Cant seem to find one my size though.

Again thanks for the info / advice

Today's Wranglers are extremely safe. They're wider, longer, and much more stable than the original Jeeps that did have issues with rollovers. With the real frame and structural roll cage, I feel a Jeep Wrangler is one of the safest vehicles on the road.

A 98 is considered one of today's Wrangler. The current style hasn't changed since 1997.

No clue on the guards. Got a link?

The plastic ones aren't going to protect you from much...dirt and debris kicked up by the tires. If you actually hit something offroad, they won't do much. They're mostly just for looks.

The 12-gauge ones are all metal but 12-gauge is pretty thin if you want substantial protection.
