This past weekend I put together a wheeling trip down to Colorado at a "semi" formal off-road park called Kelly Flats. A lot of Hummer groups and Toyota groups from Denver go there often. SO I thought I would take a few Jeeps down there and see what happened.
The road we had to turn onto was quite interesting....

We started the day off with 11 vehicles and headed out on the trails.

Don't forget this for all you Jeep girlz !!

This is the infamous Heart Attack Hill. The pictures don't do it justice, but its about a 30-35 degree angle straight up. All you see is hood and sky as you go up it!

This is Ryans Toyota who was having a few problems. Firts his hub came loose before we hit Heart Attack, he got that fixed but when he started going up the hill he hit a rock and snapped the U-joint so little Mr. Driveshaft fell out in the dirt. He replaced the joint and kept going...

The leaf pack on Adams Jeep came apart because the center pin snapped out. I had to hammer them back in and press a bolt in the perch hole to keep the pack together. A spare bag of bolts, a BFH and a bottle jack made it much easier. I went ahead and tight bolted a chain around the pack and axle to keep the axle from walking around. It held awesome for the remaining two miles of trail and over 100 miles on the drive home - I was suprised it worked at all!!!

In all it was a great trip! We plan on going back with yet even more vehicles so I will post the pictures when/if we do. No one got hurt, only two trail fixs, and the weather was awesome! Could not have been a better day!

Still in Wyoming....

that's pretty cool Corey!

That last pic, that's some redneck engineering at it's best!

Corey, you are pretty brave to crawl under that thing while a Hi-lift has it jacked up Shocked Also, how come anytime you go wheeling, you end up under a jeep?
