KY's license plates are retarded. We get a new one every 5 years. Our last one came out in 03 and recieved so many complaints that a new one is coming out for 06.

It has a smiley face on that say; "It's that friendly" Many people coverd up the face, I got drunk and painted over mine.

The reason that I bring this up is because our new plates are one of the better one's that I've seen.

Though I opted for a specialty plate and got a Ducks Unlimited one.

ours are pretty basic.

This from our "old man that fell off the mountain" collection

I still cant beleive that some people cryed for days when the old man came crashing down off his perch Rolling Eyes

Then we have our moose plate

The moose plate costs $30 bucks a year on top of one of the most expensive vehicle registrations in the US. This btw is a side effect of no income or sales tax, they just shove it up our butt another way shock

Pennsylvania's used to not be too bad, now they just plain suck. I don't even know why the changed them, they didn't even tell anyone, they just started shipping the new ones out.
I don't have any pics, but the old one's were white in the middle, with blue on the top and yellow on the bottom, with both top and bottom colors fading into the white in the middle. Now they are still the same color schemes, but they don't fade anymore, they're just different colors, no gradual mixing. Now they look like a 1st grader just took a piece of metal and painted on it. No class at all.

PA's used to have the awful "You've got a friend in.." slogan across the bottom of them. That's right up there with the "VA is for lovers" old campaign rofl . As of late they've followed the trend of using the state's web addy as a slogan on the bottom. What the hell's with that? Why not just make some money so they can stop forcing these random emissions tests they seem to fancy every other year and just have like "google.com" on the bottom or something Mr. Green .

Man, out here there is so much wheeling to be done. If I wanted to I could probably go wheeling every weekend someplace different. The concrete out here is more like dirt and gravel. Kentucky wheeling is nothing to whats out here....

The "Share the Road" plates in Kentucky are pretty cool. The wildlife plates are OK. The standard plates are pretty bad.

In GA the plates have the county that your vehicle is registered in on the tag. I've seen that some states do this while others don't. This can be viewed as a positive or a negative. I'd expect that you'll get hassled less by cops if you're sporting a local tag. However, I'm in college so I don't live in the county where my jeep is registered. On some of the specialized plates you can buy have a slogan where the county is normally listed. I've got a wildlife plate so I don't have my county listed. GA is about to design new plates and the ones that I've seen so far are pretty lame. You can still get a specialty plate if you are a member in the sponsoring organization. My favorite options are the S.C.V. or the N.R.A. plates- that way you can piss people off without letting them know if you're local.
