Hello all,
Maybe someone has had this problem before and can weigh in. I have a 1999 GC Limited with the Quadra drive. The steering is a bit stiff and does not auto correct. If you turn the wheel a little, it will stay there and go in circles if you let it. No noises or leaks anywhere. Any ideas? Gear box possibly? I know they had a recall for the 2000 model on the gear box.
Thx

The best thing you can do is go out and get yourself a repair manual from advanced auto or another auto shop. I am not sure what the problem is, I would make sure all your steering points have been greased and I would check to see if your steering stabilizer is not leaking and all the bolts are torqued right.

Thats gotta suck.. No RTC.... Shocked (Return to center)

I would check steering stabilizer and then put the front axle on Jack stands and check all the steering stuff.. Make sure nothing is binding and maybe take the lines off the pump and drain it and pump all the old crap out and fill it with new fluid and bleed it.. Maybe the return line is clogged or something???????????????????

Good luck..
