Ok, I know that the main difference between a transmision oil cooler and regualer oil cooler is that one is for the transmision and one is for oil. That said are there any mechanical difference between the two? From what I have seen transmition oil coolers are about 40 to 50 dollars less than oil coolers. Is there a difference in viscosity or how the fluid reacts to different ways of cooling that their is a significant difference in the radiators? The reason I ask this is because I want to install an oil cooler and since transmition coolers are less expensive, I was thinking about modding it to use as an oil cooler, if I could. Let me know if you guys think this will work.
