can someone tell me what size hex key (allen key?) to use to get the drain/fill plugs off the tranny and t-case?
or should i just go to discount and try them til i find ones that fit?
any better place to get these?

oh, and i looked in the FSM but i didnt find these sizes in the special tools sections or anywhere else for that matter.

thanks
imran

17mm for the NV3550 trannie, nearly certain the TC is the uses the same size.

17mm is the correct size for the trannie, but the TC is a 9mm or a 10mm. Can't remember exactly which one. I just changed the fluids out in the Jeep the other day and had to go buy a 17mm allen wrench for the trannie. I am almost positive that the TC is 10mm drain and fill plugs.

17mm for the Transmission
10mm or 3/8ths for the T-case

I just took a couple of bolts that fit the Transmission and Transfercase and put them in a vice and instant Allen wrenchs that fit my Transmission and Transfercase. Of course I guess you could buy the right ones. Very Happy
