95 grand cherokee 5.2 v8

i recently did the differential fluid change(front). and its been leaking from left front side axle.. i do remeber before i did the service noticing some dry oil buildup there but i just clean it up. it leaves a puddle right next to the tire.. do you guys know why or where is it coming from? thanks

check the inside of the axle tube the seal is inside the tube if you have oil in there it most likely needs a axle seal

Yup... You are going to have to take off that tire then pull the hub then pull the axle out .Then drop the diff cover ....Remove the diff.. Change out both axle seals while you are at it..

Its not as hard as it sounds..

as long as its not leaking to bad and you keep fluid in it you should be ok!! Mr. Green

Make sure you have not got oil on the brake pad. Brake pads don't like oil and WILL adversely effect braking ability once you get oil on them. Only way to clean the oil off is to replace the brake pads.
