Evil or Very Mad This is the second set of front disks that got ground into by the pads on my 2000 laredo. Once upon a time in a fabled land they put squealers on the pads to tell you before they were destroying the disk and now I see they have fallen out of favor for wizzardry that essentially does nothing. Have any of you guys ever fabbed your own brake warning indicators. A guy I know suggested a dab of weld ground down to a set height. I thought of brass being softer. Probably the best woud be a brass screw ground off at the the proper height. At the least any of these would touch only a small area rather than the entire face which would be ample warning rather than the way they are now which is the first sound means grind or toss them. Anyone ever do something like this?

Nope.. I just put pads on my ZJ and they had wear indicators..

What kind of pads are you running.. Try getting some Hawk pads... They are expensive but well worth it...
